Hey there, Arrangement Fam!
Haven’t seen y’all in a while. We’ve missed you.
We’ve been keeping busy. When the COVID lockdowns began in March of 2020, Phil quickly dove headfirst into making sourdough bread. He went simply wild for wild yeast. He even started a bread-focused blog, although its title reflected a gradually flagging interest: initially dubbed Hierarchy of Kneads, it soon became Just Loafing Around, then Slightly Crumby, and finally The Very Yeast I Could Do.
When the world shut down, Drew’s response was to launch a series of virtual concerts on Facebook. Taking perhaps excessive health and safety precautions, he performed for the virtual audience of dozens while wearing two masks, a face shield, and a balaclava. These micro-gigs lasted no more than two minutes and always culminated in a complete loss of consciousness by the performer. While unsatisfying musically, the clips became a viral sensation in certain avant-garde performance art circles.
Next, Drew and Phil traded in their respective hobbies for amateur astronomy, for which they developed quite the knack. They even managed to identify three potentially catastrophic asteroid strikes occurring in 2023. So, on the strong advice of both NASA and The Arrangement, come see us play as soon as you possibly can.
Ultimately, both lads decided that while pastimes come and go, their first love will always be playing absolutely slamming live tunes to rapturous audiences. So save the date and join us on Friday, July 8 at the Little Market Café in grand Old Ellicott City from 6:00-8:00pm! Note: this is an outdoor show.
The Arrangement, as always, features Mr. Drew Fontaine on acoustic guitar and vocals, accompanied by Mr. Phil Rosensteel on djembe, backing vocals, cymbals, penny whistle, and quite possibly the Russian bassoon. They play fun and inventive covers of all your favorite songs. Unless all your favorite songs are by Machine Gun Kelly. Sorry, but that’s just not how The Arrangement rolls. Yee-ikes.
